Winning at the Paris Wine Cup is a celebrated feat. It is where wines are judged by three distinctive parameters; Quality, Value, and Packaging. It is not enough to just have a good quality wine to win big at the Paris Wine Cup. The wine also has to perform well on grounds of packaging, commercial relevance, and value for money. This truly tests the mettle for all kinds of wines that enter the competition.
The Paris Wine Cup is awarded based on the following judging formula:
Q (Quality Score) + Value Score (V) + Package Score (P) = Paris Wine Cup Score.
A separate weighted score will be given for each of the three parts of the judging process. The scores will be added up to give a final score from which individual prizes will be awarded.
At the Paris Wine Cup, any wine scoring over 96 is awarded a Double Gold Medal. Wines scoring between 90-95 are awarded the Gold Medal. Wines scoring 76-89 points bring in the Silver Medal and wines scoring between 65-75 are awarded the Bronze Medal.
The 2022 Paris Wine Cup has also seen awards galore. Wines from around the world have bagged many medals as well as special titles. The Medal Tally at the 2022 Paris Wine Cup looks like this:
